Q: Which personal data do I need to upload when I want to use the Fynch app?
A: Your name and email address are used to create your login data and for communication with you as the user. If you use the app as a self-employed or as a consumer, we will also ask for your payment details. You can find more information in our privacy statement.
Q: Which personal data are processed?
A: When you use the app, data about positioning, times, movement and mote of transport, etc. are generated. The data are processed, so that we can show it in the app. No one, except for you, will have acces at a personal level to your personal data, unless a Fynch employee needs access to help you solve a problem. On top of that, your data will be secured and saved in our databases, according to the GDPR. You can find more information in our privacy statement.
Q: Who has access to my personal data?
A: Your personal data is only accessible to you, unless an employee of Fynch needs access to help you solve a problem. The data will be saved anonymized in our database. This anonymized data can be used to create general analyses. If we do so, the individual data points will not be traceable in any way to your account. Your data will be securly saved in our databases, according to the GDPR. You can find more information in our privacy statement.
Q: Do I have access to my personal data?
A: All the data that are collected, are processed in the app. So, you have access to all data. The export function enables you to export your personal data within a certain period of time (that you can select yourself) by using Excel.
Q: What are the costs of the app Fynch?
A: The costs depend on the type of user (Smart Cities, Business, Self-employed or Consumer). You can find more information at prices. If you are not sure what your target group is, you can read more about it here.
Q: How can I sign up for the app?
A: You can create an account by downloading the app and clicking on "create account". You will be redirected to a page that allows you to sign up with the code that your employer provided or that allows you to fill in your payment details. If you have any problems with signing up, please contact us at email@example.com.
Q: The code my employer gave me, doesn't work. What should I do?
A: Contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org. Please mention the company you work for and the code you received.
Q: I paid for an account, but I cannot sign in. What should I do?
A: It may take a while before the payment transaction is processed. As soon as we processed it, your account will be activated. Then you can sign in. If you keep having problems with singing in, contact us at email@example.com.
Q: How can I delete my account?
A: You can delete your account by sending an email to firstname.lastname@example.org. Please mention your name and the email address you used to sign up for an account. Be aware: if you delete your account, we will delete all data. We cannot retrieve this information. Keep this in consideration when you want to delete your account.
The Fynch App
Q: How does the app work?
A: The app uses the data about your location to register the movement when you travel. These movements are shown in the app. Do you use public transport, do you cycle to your work or do you travel off-peak? Then you will earn Coins that you can exchange for several nice discounts. Q: Does the app also work when I am offline?
A: Fynch mostly uses your GPS, so the app will also work when you turned your internet data or wifi off. However, when the GPS connection is not working properly, Fynch will also use your data- and wifi-connection. So, if only your GPS is used, the measurements can be less accurate. If you turn on airplane mode, your GPS will also be switched off. Trips will not be registered now.
Q: Is my phone compatible with the Fynch app?
A: Fynch works for an iPhone 5s or higher, with an iOS 9.0 or higher. Fynch will work for Android devices for Android 6.0 or higher. When the settings on your phone are right, there won't be many problems with the app. However, we cannot guarantee that the app will always operate like it should. Q: I did install the app, but it doesn't work properly. What should I do?
A: There is quite a chance that the app isn't working properly (yet) because of the settings of your phone. You can find more information about the settings for your phone here (Dutch only).
