Instructions for Nokia

Check the following settings if there are problems that measurement is not (correct):

If the device is a Nokia 5

If the device is a Nokia 5, the user must set the following:

  1. Go to Phone Settings Battery Battery saving > turn this setting OFF.

If the device is a Nokia 7 Plus

If the device is a Nokia 7 Plus, the user must set the following:

  1. Go to Phone Settings Battery Background activity management > set the Enable black list option ON. Find our app in the list and turn the switch next to the app OFF. The app has now been removed from the blacklist.
  2. Repeat step 1 also for the app ”Google Play services, if it is also in the list.
  3. Turn off energy saving: Tap Phone Settings Battery > turn OFF the Battery saving option.

If Android 9 is installed on the Nokia device

If Android 9 is installed on the device, the user must set the following:

  1. Go to Phone Settings Battery Battery saving > turn these settings OFF.
  2. Go to Phone Settings Battery Customizable battery management > turn the “Use customizable battery management” option OFF.
  3. Go to Phone Settings > Battery > Customizable battery management > Limited apps > remove our app from the list of limited apps, if it is included.
  4. Repeat step 3 also for the app ‘Google Play services’, if it is also in the list.

If Android 10  is installed on the Nokia device

If Android 10 is installed on the device, the user must set the following:

  1. Go to Phone Settings > Apps > choose our app > set Location permission to “Always”.
  2. Repeat step 1 also for the app ‘Google Play services, if it is also in the list.
  3. Go to Phone Settings > Battery > turn option Battery saver OFF.
  4. If applicable: Go to Phone Settings > Battery  > Battery saver > turn option Set a schedule  OFF.
  5. Go to Phone Settings > Battery > Adaptive Battery > Use adaptive battery > disable.
  6. If applicable: Go to Phone Settings > Battery > Background activity manager:
    – Turn OFF the Background activity cleaner option.
    – If the Enable blacklist option is enabled, then follow the steps below:
    O Search our app in the list and turn the switch OFF.
    O Find the ‘Google Play services’ app in the list and turn the switch OFF.
  7. Go Phone Settings > Battery > from the top right corner menu, select Battery optimization > click ‘Not Optimized’ at the top of the list and select ‘All apps’ > select our app > choose “Don’t Optimize”.
  8. Repeat step 7 for the ‘Google Play services’ app if it is also listed.
  9. If applicable: Go to Phone Settings > Apps > See all apps > tap button on top right with 3 vertical dots > Show system > select the Power Saver app from the list > choose Force close.
  10. If step 9 applies: If the Uninstall option is also present, then uninstall the Battery Saver app. Otherwise, you have to repeat this step after every restart of your device.
  11. Go to Phone Settings > Location > Wi-Fi and Bluetooth scanning > Turn ON BOTH Wi-Fi scanning and Bluetooth scanning options.
  12. Restart the device.
  13. Go to Phone Settings > Network and Internet > Wi-Fi > Wi-Fi preferences > turn ON the option Switch to mobile data automatically.
  14. Go to Phone Settings > Display Advanced > turn OFF the Sleep Mode option.
  15. Go to Phone Settings > Digital Welbeing & parental controls > remove our app from the list.
  16. Repeat step 15 for the ‘Google play services‘ app, remove it also from the list.

If Android 11  is installed on the Nokia device

If Android 11 is installed on the device, the user must set the following:

  1. Turn OFF the device for a few minutes and then restart it.
  2. Go to Phone Settings > Apps > choose our app > set Location permission to “Always”.
  3. Go to Phone Settings > Battery > turn OFF BOTH Battery Saver ONE Adaptive Battery.
  4. If applicable: Go to Phone Settings > Battery > Background activity manager:
    – Turn OFF the Background activity cleaner option.
    – If the Enable blacklist option is enabled, then follow the step below:
    O Search our app in the list and turn the switch OFF.
  5. Go to Phone Settings > Battery > tap button on top right with 3 vertical dots:
    – Choose Battery optimization > click on ‘Not optimized’ at the top of the list and select ‘All apps’ > select our app > choose “Not Optimized”.
    – Choose Battery optimization > Advanced optimization > disable Deep optimization (or Adaptive Battery) AND Sleep standby optimization.
  6. Go to Phone Settings > Apps & notifications > All apps > select our app > (Advanced) > Battery > DON’T ADD Background restrictions.
  7. Go to Phone Settings > choose our app > App info > Permissions > turn OFF “Remove permissions if an app isn’t used“.
  8. Go to Phone Settings > Location > turn ON BOTH Use Location AND Wi-Fi and Bluetooth scanning.
  9. Go to Phone Settings > Location > Advanced > Google Location Accuracy > turn ON Improve Location Accuracy.
  10. If applicable: Go to Phone Settings > Network and Internet > Wi-Fi > Wi-Fi preferences > turn ON the option Switch to mobile data automatically.
  11. If applicable: Go to Phone Settings > Display > Advanced > turn OFF the Sleep Mode option.
  12. If applicable: Go to Phone Settings > Digital Welbeing & parental controls > remove our app from the list.
