Instructions for Xiaomi

In the first instance, make sure that GPS, WiFi and mobile data are turned on as much as possible. If there are problems that the measurements are not (properly) measured, first check the following settings depending on the Android version and/or MIUI version on your device: If MIUI 10 (Android 7.0 – 9.0) is installed on the Xiaomi device

Check the following settings if there are problems that the measurement is not (correctly) taken:

  1. Go to Phone Settings > Manage Apps > select the Fynch app and set:
    – Turn Autostart ON (Or for older phones: (Open Security app) > Permissions > turn Autostart ON for the Fynch app)
    – Click on Permissions and turn ON the options “Change Wi-Fi connectivity”, “Show on Lock screen” and “Start in background”
    – Notifications: Choose “Yes, show notifications”
    – Limit data usage: Turn “Wi-fi” and “Mobile data” both ON
    – Battery Saver: Choose “No Restrictions” (Or for older phones: (Open Security App) > Battery > Power Saving App > Select the Fynch App > Choose “No Restrictions”).
  2. Or: Go to Phone settings > Battery & performance > (choose Manage battery usage apps) > if possible turn all battery saving modes OFF > choose option “Choose apps” > click on “Installed apps” at the top > choose the Fynch app > set “No restrictions “.
  3. Go to Recent apps > drag the Fynch app down > the app will be locked (lock) Or: Go to Recent > tap and hold on the Fynch app > tap the lock icon > the app is now locked (behind the app name is now a lock to see).

If MIUI 11 (Android 7.0 – 10.0) is installed on the Xiaomi device

Check the following settings if there are problems that the measurement is not (correctly) taken:

  1. Go to Phone Settings > Apps > Manage Apps > select the Fynch app and set:
    – Autostart: Switch ON and confirm with OK
    – if option “Battery saver” available: choose “No restrictions”.
  2. Go to Phone Settings > Apps > Other Permissions > select the Fynch app > turn ON “Change Wi-Fi connectivity” and “Show on lock screen”.
  3. Or: Go to Phone Settings >(Additional Settings)> Battery & Performance > Manage Apps Battery Usage >Go to the ‘Background Power Saving’ section > click ‘Choose Apps’ > select the Fynch app > locate the ‘Wallpaper Settings’ section ‘> choose ‘No restrictions’.
  4. Go to Phone Settings > Apps > Battery & Performance >turn Battery Saver OFF (Or: go to “Security” > Battery > Battery & Performance > Battery Saver).
  5. If option ” Ultra battery saver’ present: Go to the ‘Security’ app > select ‘Battery & performance’ > turn Ultra battery saver OFF.
  6. Go to Phone Settings > Battery & Performance > Power Saving App > choose the Fynch app > choose ‘No Restrictions’ (Or: go to “Security” > Battery > Battery & Performance > Energy Saving App).
  7. Open the Recent apps screen > select and hold the Fynch app > from the drop-down list that appears next to it, select the lock icon.

If MIUI 12 (Android 9.0 – 11.0) is installed on the Xiaomi device

Check the following settings if there are problems that the measurement is not (correctly) taken:

  1. Go to Phone Settings > Apps > Manage Apps > select the Fynch app and set:
    – Autostart: Turn ON
    – Battery Saver: Choose “No Limits”
    – Other Permissions: Turn ON the “Change Wi-Fi connectivity” and “Show on lock screen” options.
  2. Go to Phone Settings > select Battery & Performance > click on Settings (= gearwheel at the top right) > select Power Saving App > select the Fynch app > set “No Restrictions”.
  3. Open the Recent apps screen > select and hold the Fynch app > from the drop-down list that appears next to it, select the lock icon.
  4. Go to the ‘Security’ app > select ‘Battery & Performance > turn OFF Battery Saver AND Ultra Battery Saverboth.
