Instructions for OPPO

In the first instance, make sure that GPS, WiFi and mobile data are turned on as much as possible. If there are problems that the measurement is not (properly) measured, check the following settings: Battery management settings for older Oppo phones:

  1. Go to Phone Settings > Battery > Energy Saver >select our app.
  2. Set the option Freeze background or Freeze when in background OFF.
  3. Turn OFF the options Automatically optimize when an anomaly is detected, Abnormal apps optimization and Doze .

Battery management settings for newer Oppo phones:

  1. Go to Phone Settings > Battery >turn Power Saving Mode OFF.
  2. Go to Phone Settings > App Management >select our app > Power consumption protection.
  3. Select Allow Background Execution.

Lock app:
Open the active apps by pulling up the home screen or click the Menu button at the bottom. Pull down our app. After that, a lock icon will appear in the top corner of our app. This means that the app is secured.

If Android 7 or higher is used, also check if the following settings apply:

  1. Go to Phone Settings > App Manager > select our app > turn the option Allow automatic startup ON.
  2. Click the Energy saving  option and select Allow background execution.
  3. For Oppo devices with a Security Center/Security Center: Go to Phone Settings > Security Center/ Security Center > Privacy Permissions > Startup Manager > select our app and allow it to run in the background.
  4. On some Oppo devices (e.g. R9, R11 and A37f): Go to Phone Settings > Battery > Others > select our app and turn OFF all settings.
  5. On some other devices: Go to Phone Settings > Battery & Storage > Battery Management > Power Consumption Details > Optimize for Excessive Power Consumption > select our app and turn OFF switch.

If Android 10 is used, also check if the following settings apply:

  1. Go to Phone Settings > Apps & Notifications >Tap ‘Advanced’ at the bottom > Special Access > Battery Optimization (at the top of the screen) > button Not Optimized > choose ‘All apps’ > select our app > choose ‘Don’t optimize’.
  2. Go to Phone Settings > Location Information >turnLocation Service ON > turn ON the following options:
    – Scan via WiFi and Bluetooth
    – Google Location Accuracy: Turn Improve Location Accuracy ON.
  3. And/or: Go to Phone Settings > Battery >turn OFF Power Saving Mode and Smart Power Saving Mode both.
  4. And/or: In Personalized energy saving/Personal energy saving for our app, set the following:
    – Background Execution: Allow/Enable
    – Prohibit background execution: Disable
    – Intelligently limit background execution: Turn OFF.
  5. And/or: Go to Apps > Security Center > Privacy Permissions > Run Automatic Management/Startup Manager > Enable our app.
  6. And/or: Go to Phone Settings > App Management > ‘Running’ tab > Turn ON our app.
  7. And/or: Go to Phone Settings > App Manager > Startup Manager > choose Allow automatic startup.

If Android 11 is used, also check if the following settings apply:

  1. Go to Phone Settings > Battery > turn Power Saving Mode and Super Saving Mode both OFF.
  2. Go to Phone Settings > Battery > More Battery Settings:
    – Turn “High performance mode” ON
    – Go to “Optimize battery use” > choose Fynch > ‘Don’t optimize’
    – Turn OFF “Sleep standby optimization”.
  3. Go to Phone Settings > App Manager > choose Fynch from the list > “Data usage details” > turn Background data ON.
  4. Go to Phone Settings > App Manager > choose Fynch from the list > Battery usage:
    – Allow foreground activity: Turn ON
    – Allow background activity: Turn ON
    – Auto start: Turn ON.
  5. Go to Phone Settings > App Manager > choose Fynch from the list > Permissions > Location > choose “Always Allow”.
  6. Go to Phone Settings > go to Fynch’s app settings > turn OFF the “Remove permissions when app is not used” option.

If Android 12 is used, also check if the following settings apply:

  1. Go to Phone Settings > Battery > Turn OFF ‘Power saving mode’ AND ‘Super power saving mode’ both.
  2. Go to Phone settings > Battery > click on ‘save power’ at the top > turn the option ‘Background activity’ ON.
  3. Go to Phone settings > ‘Advanced settings’:
    – Turn ‘High performance mode’ ON
    – Turn OFF ‘Sleep standby optimization’
    – Go to ‘Optimise battery use’ > choose Fynch > choose ‘Don’t optimise’.
  4. Go to Phone Settings > Apps > ‘Auto Lauch’ > choose Fynch > toggle switch ON.
  5. Go to Phone settings > Wifi > choose (⁝) menu (top) > ‘Advanced settings’ > turn ON option ‘Scanning always available’.
  6. Go to Phone Settings > Apps > choose Fynch > Permissions > Location > set up:
    – Access Location for this app = Always allow
    – Use exact location: turn this option ON.
  7. Go to Phone Settings > Apps > choose Fynch > set up:
    – Clear permission when not using app > turn this option OFF
    – Go to Permissions > turn OFF the option “Revoke permissions and free up space”.
  8. Go to Phone Settings > Apps > choose Fynch > Battery > set “Use data” = Unlimited.
