Instructions for Oppo

Check the following settings if there are problems that measurement is not (correct):

Battery management settings for newer Oppo devices:

  1. Go to Phone settings > Battery > Turn OFF Power Saver Mode.
  2.  Go to Phone settings > App Management > choose our app > Power consumption protection.
  3. Select Allow Background Running.

Lock the application in the background:

Open the running apps by pulling up the home screen or click the Menu button at the bottom. Pull down our app. Then a lock icon appears in the top corner of our app.
This means that the app is locked.

If Android 9 is used, also check the following settings:

– Go to Phone settings > App Management > select our app > enable Allow Auto Startup.
– Tap Power Saver and select Allow Background Running.

For Oppo devices with a Security Center:
– Go to Phone settings > Security Centre > Privacy Permissions > Startup manager > choose our app and allow our app to run in background.

On some Oppo devices (eg. R9, R11, and A37f):
– Go to Phone settings > Battery > Others > find our app in the list and uncheck all settings.

On some other devices:
– Go to Phone settings > Battery and storage > Battery manager > Power consumption details > Optimize for excessive power consumption > find our app in the list and turn switch OFF.

If Android 10 is used, also check that the following settings:

  1. Go to Phone settings Apps & notifications > tap Advanced at the bottom > Special access Battery optimization (top of the screen) > Not optimized button > choose “All apps” > select our app > choose “Don’t optimize”.
  2. Go to Phone settings Location information > turn Location service ON > turn the following options ON:
    – Scanning via WiFi and Bluetooth
    – Google location accuracy: turn ON Improve location accuracy.
  3. And/or: Go to Phone settings Battery > turn Power saving mode ánd Smart power saving mode both OFF.
  4. And/or: Under Personalized/Personal energy saving for our app, set the following:
    – Running in background: allow/ON
    – Prohibit running in background: turn OFF
    – Intelligently restrict running in background: turn OFF.
  5. And/or: Go to Apps > Security Center > Privacy Permissions > Auto-run management > enable our app.
  6. And/or: Go to Phone settings Application Management Running tab > enable our app.
  7. And/or: Go to Phone Settings App Management Startup Management > choose Allow Auto Startup.

If Android 11 is used, also check that the following settings:

  1. Go to Phone settings > Battery > turn Power saving mode and Super power saving mode both OFF.
  2. Go to Phone settings > Battery > More battery settings:
    – Turn High performance mode ON
    – Go to Optimize battery use > choose our app > “Don’t optimize”
    – Turn Sleep standby optimization OFF.
  3. Ga to Phone settings > App management > choose our app in the list > Data usage details > turn Background data ON.
  4. Go to Phone settings > App management > choose our app in the list > Battery usage:
    – Allow foreground activity : turn ON
    – Allow background activity : turn ON
    – Allow auto launch : turn ON.
  5. Go to Phone settings > App management > choose our app in the list > Permissions > Location > choose “Allow all the time”.
  6. Go to Phone settings > go to the app settings of our app > turn “Remove permissions when app is not used” OFF.

If Android 12 is used, also check that the following settings:

  1. Go to Phone Settings > Battery > turn Power saving mode AND Super power saving mode both OFF.
  2. Go to Phone settings > Battery > click on ‘save power‘ at the top > turn the option Background activity ON.
  3. Go to Phone settings  > Advanced settings:
    – Turn High performance mode ON
    – Turn Sleep standby optimization‘ OFF
    – Go to ‘Optimise battery use‘ > choose our app > choose ‘Don’t optimize‘.
  4. Go to Phone settings > Apps > Auto lauch > choose our app > turn the switch ON.
  5. Go to Phone settings > Wifi > choose (⁝) menu (top) > Advanced settings > turn ON the option ‘Scanning always available‘.
  6. Go to Phone Settings > Apps > choose our app > Permissions > Location > set  :
    – Location access for this app = Alway all the time
    – Use precise location: turn this option ON
  7. Go to Phone Settings > Apps > choose our app > set up:
    – Remove permissions if app is unused > turn this option OFF
    – Go to Permissions > turn OFF the option “Remove permissions and free up space“.
  8. Go to Phone Settings > Apps > choose our app > Battery >  set “Use details” = Unrestriced.

If Android 13 is used, also check that the following settings:

  1. Go to Phone settings > Location >
    – Location Services: turn ON
    – Wi-Fi and Bluetooth scanning:  turn Wi-Fi scanning AND Bluetooth scanning both ON
    – Google Location Accuracy: turn “Improve Location Accuracy” ON.
  2. Go to Phone settings > Apps > choose our app > Permissions:
    – Go to Physical activity > select “Allow”
    – Go to Location > select “Always allow” AND turn ON ‘Use precise location‘.
  3. Go to Phone settings > Battery > Power saving mode > set:
    – Power saving mode: turn OFF
    – Turn on at specified battery level: turn OFF
    – Default optimizations: turn OFF optimizations here if possible
    – Super power saving mode:  turn OFF.
  4. Go to Phone settings > Apps > choose our app > Battery consumption > set:
    – Allow foreground activity: turn ON
    – Allow background activity: turn ON
    – Allow automatic start: turn ON.
  5. Go to Phone settings > Battery > More settings:
    – High performance mode: turn ON
    – Sleep standby optimization: turn OFF
    – Go to ‘Optimize battery use‘ > choose our app > choose ‘Don’t optimize’.
  6. Go to Phone settings > Wi-Fi > select (⁝) menu (top) > More settings > Wi-Fi Direct > swipe down from the top of the screen to open Quick settings > toggle the Wi-FiBluetooth, and Location buttons ALL ON.
  7. Go to Phone settings > Apps > choose our app > set:
    – Pause app activity when not in use > turn this option OFF
    – Go to Permissions > turn OFF the “Remove permissions and free up space” option.
  8. Open Recent Apps > tap the icon of our app > choose ‘Lock this app‘. A lock will now appear at the bottom of the app. The app is now locked.
