Instructions for Xiaomi

If MIUI 13 (Android 11.0 – 13.0) is installed on the Xiaomi device
Check the following settings if there are problems that measurement is not (correct):

1. Go to Phone settings > Location > App location permissions > select our app > set:
   – Access to Location for this app = Always allow
   – Use exact location: turn this option ON.
2. Go to Phone settings > Apps (and notifications) > select our app > Permissions/App permissions:
   – Go to Physical activity > select “Allow”.
3. Go to Phone settings > Location > Location access/Location services:
   – Google location accuracy: turn ON “Improve location accuracy”
   – Wi-Fi scanning: turn ON
   – Bluetooth scanning: turn ON.
4. Go to Phone settings > Apps > Manage apps > select our app > turn Autostart ON.
5. Go to Phone settings > Battery > click on Settings (= gear icon on the top right):
   – Turn off mobile data when device is locked: select “Never”
   – Clear cache when device is locked: select “Never”.
6. Go to Phone settings > Apps > Manage apps > select our app > Battery saver > choose “No restrictions” .
7. Go to Phone settings > Battery:
   – Select Balanced (= the middle option)
   – Ultra battery saver: turn OFF.
8. Go to Phone settings > Battery > click on Settings (= gear icon on the top right) > turn Battery saver OFF.
9. Open Security App > click on Settings (= gear icon on the top right) > Cleaner > Cleaner settings:
   – Remind to clean: turn OFF
   – Scan app memory: turn OFF.
10. Open Security App > click on Settings (= gear icon on the top right) > Boost speed > Lock apps > turn the switch next to our app ON.
    Or:
    Click on the Recent Apps button > select our app > tap on our app icon > from the dropdown that appears, choose “Lock this app” or the lock icon.
    A lock will now appear at the bottom of the app. The app is now locked.

If MIUI 12 (Android 9.0 – 11.0) is installed on the Xiaomi device
Check the following settings if there are problems that measurement is not (correct):

1. Open Security App > Permissions or Manage Apps > Autostart > turn Autostart ON for our app.
   Or:
   Go to Phone settings > Apps > Manage apps > select our app > turn Autostart ON.
2. Open Security App  > Battery > App Battery Saver > choose our app > set “No restrictions”.
   Or:
   Go to Phone settings > Apps > Manage apps > select our app > Battery saver > set “No restrictions”.
3. Go to Phone settings > Apps > Manage apps > select our app and set up:
   – Other permissions: turn ON the options Change Wi-Fi connectivity and Show on lock screen.
4. Go to Phone settings > Battery & performance > click on Settings (= gear icon at the top right) > Energy saving app > select our app > set “No restrictions”.
5. Or: Open Security App > Battery & performance > turn Battery saver AND Ultra battery saver both OFF.
6. Click the Recent apps button > select and hold our app > from the drop-down list that appears next to it, select the lock icon.
   Or:
   Click the Recent apps button > drag our app down (it will be locked).
7. Open Security App > click on Settings (= gear icon at the top right) > Boost speed > Lock apps > turn ON switch next to our app.
8. Go to Phone settings > choose our app > App info > Permissions > turn OFF option “Remove permissions if an app isn’t used”.

Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee these instructions because we are not in control of the phone and the precise other apps that are present on this phone.
