Fynch is looking for an ambitious junior Support Engineer who will help us develop and realize our commercial plans.

Founded by Joris Smulders and Serge van den Berg, who combined have more than 35 years of experience in smart mobility and are using it to make a difference. In the management team, they are supported by Pieter Ennes in the role of CTO and Nina Driel as COO.

What will be your challenge?

The Fynch app helps you instantly travel more sustainably and smarter by giving you insight into your travel habits and rewarding you for more exercise and cleaner travel. Call it the Strava for sustainable mobility. We support companies in processing expense claims and meeting reporting requirements.

There are many opportunities. As a Support Engineer, you will contribute by contacting customers and end users, solving technical problems, and collecting feedback, which you will share with the Product Owner. As part of the Customer Success Team, you will strive to help our clients and users as best as possible and keep client satisfaction high.

Your main tasks & responsibilities

At the junction between commerce and Fynch’s technical team, you will deal with…

  • Interact with users and customers through our support system (Zoho Desk)
  • Researching the cause of problems using data in our PostgreSQL database
  • Investigate the cause of problems in Python code

What are we asking of you?

  • You have completed or are about to complete a relevant university of applied sciences or university-level studies
  • You have experience with or are willing to learn more about working with our PostgreSQL database
  • You enjoy learning and are not satisfied with a method or solution simply because it is the easy way out
  • You have strong communication skills in both Dutch (optional) and English
  • You feel responsible for the final product and like to go the extra mile to achieve our ambitions
  • You can work independently but also understand that good cooperation with the rest of the team is crucial for a successful product
  • You are flexible and enthusiastic about working in a dynamic environment
  • You are independent and work well in a self-managing team
  • You are eager to learn and keep up with the latest developments
  • Preferably available full-time, part-time (at least 24 hours) is also an option

At the moment the team consists of 13 employees and we are growing fast! We embrace Hybrid working. We often meet at the office on Mondays, and you can work from home or at the office according to your preference. At the office, we naturally have lunch together. We regularly participate in sporting events, organize a Christmas dinner at the end of the year, go on ski weekends, and have monthly drinks together.
