Press Release: Mobility platform Fynch Mobility raises EUR 1 million in growth capital
SaaS startup Fynch Mobility has raised EUR 1 million in funding to make sustainable business travel the new norm. The Utrecht-based company enables employers to measure and reduce CO2 emissions from business-related travel, through the Fynch platform for sustainable mobility. Fynch Mobility appeared in the media earlier this month with a reward scheme for affected commuters during construction on the A7 motorway, carried out on behalf of the Dutch Directorate for Public Works and Water Management (Rijkswaterstaat).
Founded in 2020, Fynch Mobility is an impact-driven software company, offering organizations real-time insight into the CO2 emissions of business-related mobility with the Fynch platform. The growth capital of EUR 1 million raised, from a consortium of business angels and a European grant, will be used by the company to further scale its B2B sustainable mobility software platform. The company was assisted in this seed-funding round by Bas Scheele of Cardinalis Consulting. Fynch Mobility’s goal is to motivate more than 10 million people towards sustainable and healthy mobility by 2030.
Compliance-as-a-Service
“More and more organizations are discovering that getting mobility right ensures cost efficiency, employer attractiveness, and CO2 reduction,” says Serge van den Berg, Co-Founder of Fynch Mobility. Employees are rewarded by Fynch for sustainably traveled mileage and use the smart mobility app to easily administer and reimburse their trips and home working days. The platform integrates seamlessly with various HR and ESG software tools. This gives employers real-time insight into CO2 emissions from business-related mobility and ensures that organizations comply with sustainability legislations such as CSRD and WPM.
Partnership
Fynch Mobility entered into a long-term partnership with Alphabet Lease, a top 3 leasing company in Europe and a fully-owned subsidiary of BMW Group, in early 2024. Through this partnership, Alphabet makes Fynch’s technology available to their customers, under the name of Alphabet Carbon Tracker. “With this partnership, we are better placed to achieve our 2030 target of motivating 10 million people for sustainable and healthy mobility,” states Joris Smulders, Co-Founder of Fynch Mobility.
Fynch can now count companies such as Rijkswaterstaat, BCD Travel, Censo Energy Services, Q-Park / P1, Volvo Group Netherlands, and BMW Netherlands among its clients.
