Settings for Motorola devices with Android 9

1. Go to Phone settings > Apps and notifications > Special app access > Battery optimization > select from the dropdown ‘All apps‘ > select our app > select tickbox for “Don’t optimize”.
2. Also repeat step 1 for ‘Google Play services’, if it is also in the list.
3. Go to Phone settings > Apps and notifications > select our app > Advanced > Battery > Background restriction > set to “no restrictions“.
4. Go to Phone settings > Apps and notifications > select our app > Advanced > Battery > Battery optimization> set to “no optimization”.
5. Repeat steps 3 and 4 also for ‘Google Play services’, if it is also in the list.
6. Go to Phone settings > Security & Location > (under ‘Privacy’) select Location > (under ‘App-level permissions’) select Advanced > (under (again) ‘App-level permissions’) select Scanning > two options here Wi-Fi scanning and Bluetooth scanning, turn both OFF. Now go back one screen and select (under ‘Location services’) Google Location Accuracy > make sure that Improve Location Accuracy is switched ON.
7. Restart the phone.
