Fynch Mobility is looking for a QA Automation Engineer to join our growing team. Our company, located in Utrecht, has a clear mission: to stimulate people to make more sustainable travel choices. How we do this? By facilitating registration, insights and rewards through our software. We work closely with companies and other organizations and provide them with the tools to change behavior.

Your role

As QA Automation Engineer, the testing process for our software is your playground. You take the lead in designing a structured and fool proof testing process, which incorporates both automated and manual testing. You work together with software developers of all disciplines to streamline the processes.

Main tasks and responsibilities

  • Designing and maintaining a QA testing framework to ensure all software is tested appropriately before release, both automated and manual
  • Working together with the members of the development team to make testing an integrated part of the development process
  • Identify improvements and bugs in the software as a whole (so not just your expertise)
  • Actively participate in daily standups, refinement sessions, sprint reviews and sprint retrospective sessions
  • The principles of Privacy by Design are applied in all technical work
  • Adhere to collective Definition of Done for completing tasks
  • Follow all instructions, procedures and policies regarding how data is secured
  • Participate in refining functional, technical and UI/UX designs, wherein the added value and experience for customers and users is leading

About you

  • You have a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience, either through work or through education and/or internships
  • You have a strong understanding of software testing methodologies, including familiarity with black-box, white-box and gray-box testing
  • You are able to write clear and concise test cases
  • You are proficient in test automation frameworks, preferably including Flutter Driver, and other UI testing frameworks
  • You have a strong understanding of common security vulnerabilities and principles in web and mobile apps
  • You have knowledge of common CI/CD and app distribution principles
  • You have strong communication and collaboration skills in English, Dutch is optional
  • You are detail-oriented
  • Experience with functional and performance testing of REST APIs is a plus
  • Experience with SQL is a plus
  • You are allowed to work in the Netherlands without a visa
