The reporting requirement is definite. More time for employers.
On October 24, 2023, we were notified by the Ministry of Infrastructure and Water Management regarding the Reporting Requirement Work-related Mobility of Persons. The legislation has now received final approval from the Council of State, giving employers more time to prepare.
Reporting will be possible as originally planned from January 1, 2024. This leaves very little time for business to prepare. Therefore, enforcement will not be conducted on the data collected between January and June 2024, however, enforcement will take place during the period starting July 1, 2024. This is also the official effective date of the reporting requirement.
What does this mean?
- The Council of State has agreed that the law’s introduction is now final.
Employers needing more time will have until July 1, 2024 to adjust their administration to this new legislation. After that, there is no fallback option.
It will still be possible for employers to report for the entire year 2024.
