Instructions for Xiaomi

If MIUI 10 (Android 6.0-9.0) is installed on the Xiaomi device

Check the following settings if there are problems that measurement is not (correct):

1. Go to Phone settings > Manage apps > select our app and set::
   – Turn Autostart ON (Or for older phones: (Open Security app) > Permissions > enable Autostart for our app)
   – Click on Permissions and set options “Change Wi-Fi connectivity“, “Show on Lock screen” and “Start in background” all ON
   – Notifications: Choose “Yes, Keep show notifications”
   – Restrict data usage: Enable “Wi-Fi” and “Mobile data”
   – Battery saver: Choose “No restrictions” (Or for older phones: (Open Security app) > Battery > App Battery Saver > select our app > choose “No restrictions”).
2. Or: Go to Phone settings > Battery & performance > (choose Manage apps battery usage) > if possible switch Power Saving Modes to OFF > choose option “Choose apps” > click on “Installed apps” at the top > choose our app > set “No restrictions”.
3. Go to Recent apps > drag our app downwards > the app will be locked.
   Or: Go to Recent > tap and hold on our app > tap on lock icon > the app is now locked (there is now a lock icon behind the app name).

If MIUI 11 (Android 7.0-10.0) is installed on the Xiaomi device

Check the following settings if there are problems that measurement is not (correct):

1. Go to Phone settings > Apps > Manage apps > select our app and set:
   – Autostart: Switch ON and confirm with OK
   – if option “Battery saver” available: choose “No restrictions”.
2. Go to Phone Settings > Apps > Other permissions > select our app > turn ON “Change Wi-Fi connectivity” and “Show on lock screen“.
3. Or: Go to Phone settings > (Additional settings) > Battery & performance > Manage apps battery usage > find the section ‘Saving power in the background’ > tap on Choose apps > select our app > find the section ‘Background settings‘ > select’No restrictons’.
4. Go to Phone Settings > Apps > Battery & performance > turn Battery Saver OFF (Or go to “Security” > Battery > Battery & Performance > Battery Saver).
5. If option “Ultra battery saver” is available: Go to “Security” app > select “Battery & performance” > turn Ultra battery saver OFF.
6. Go to Phone settings > Battery & performance > App battery saver > choose our app > choose ‘No restrictions’ (Or: go via “Security” > Battery > Battery & performance > App battery saver).
7. Open the Recent apps screen > select our app, hold it > from the dropdown that appears next to it, select the lock icon.

If MIUI 12 (Android 9.0 – 11.0) is installed on the Xiaomi device

Check the following settings if there are problems that measurement is not (correct):

1. Open Security App > Permissions or Manage Apps > Autostart > turn Autostart ON for our app.
   Or:
   Go to Phone Settings > Apps > Manage apps > select our app > turn Autostart ON.
2. Open Security App  > Battery > App Battery Saver > choose our app > set “No restrictions”.
   Or:
   Go to Phone settings > Apps > Manage apps > select our app > Battery saver > set “No restrictions”.
3. Go to Phone settings > Apps > Manage apps > select our app and set up:
   – Other permissions: turn ON the options Change Wi-Fi connectivity and Show on lock screen.
4. Go to Phone Settings > Battery & performance > click on Settings (= gear icon at the top right) > Energy saving app > select our app > set “No restrictions”.
5. Or: Open Security App > Battery & performance > turn Battery saver AND Ultra battery saver both OFF.
6. Click the Recent apps button > select and hold our app > from the drop-down list that appears next to it, select the lock icon.
   Or:
   Click the Recent apps button > drag our app down (it will be locked).
7. Open Security App > click on Settings (= gear icon at the top right) > Boost speed > Lock apps > turn ON switch next to our app.
8. Go to Phone Settings > choose our app > App info > Permissions > turn OFF option “Remove permissions if an app isn’t used”.
